Why won't my headlight work?

"I have a 2003 Peugeot 206 SW. My offside dipped headlight went out so I put a new one in but still didn't work. I checked the fuse in the engine compartment and changed for a new one, still no joy. What else can I try?"
Most likely to be a rusted earth between the bulb holder and the car body.

Peugeot 206 SW - when should I change the glow plugs?

"I have a 2004 Peugeot 206 SW with a 2.0 HDi engine. It has 72,000 miles on the clock, mostly on long motorway trips, and has been maintained according to its schedule. Do you think it worthwhile changing the glow plugs and the oil feed and oil drain pipes to the turbo?"
Definitely change the oil feed to and drain pipe from the turbo. And get into the habit of counting to 5 or even 10 before turning the key the final bit. That will give the glowplugs a chance to glow, and reduce the soot coming out of the exhaust on start-up.

Peugeot 206 or Honda Civic - which is most reliable?

"I have a budget of about £2000 and need a small automatic. I have seen a couple of Peugeot 206s for sale: a 2005 1.4 at £2595, (61,000 miles) and a2006 1.4 at £2795 (35,600 miles). I’ve also seen a 2000 Honda Civic 1.6 in very good condition, one owner, 59,000 miles at £1,100. Which is more reliable? "
My advice is do not pay more than £600 for a used Peugeot 206. They are fairly badly built and often troublesome. And £2795 is a fair price for the much better 207, not a 206. The Honda is well past its sell by date.

Retrieving broken glow plug

"One of my glow plug tips has broken off inside the engine, how do i get it out?"
With a probe. But if you miss a bit you will still get a scored bore so probably better to take the cylinder head off.
